Fire is a leading hazard at our workplace.Over the years office & industrial fires have cost more than millions in cash and a lot of irrepairable damages including life.
This course is all about the initial response procedures you need to follow in order to avoid a small fire turn into a massive office or industrial fire while all the others watch it helpless till professional assistance arrives.
We train you in how to prepare your fire action plans before the event of fire, what is your action steps during the event of fire and how to fight fire.
To ensure that the attendees have better understanding we also provide a practical session in which they are trained on how to properly use fire extinguishers. Each candidate is given individual attention during their turn of practice on how to put out fire safely.
Aims:
› To enlighten the role and responsibilities of a fire warden through classification of fire.
› Emergency procedures after discovering fire, or fire alarm sounding.
› Types of fire extinguisher, fire blankets available and their appropriate use.
› Efficient evacuation of personnel from the building.
Objectives:
› Describes the roles, responsibilities and accountabilities of a fire warden.
› Promotes knowledge for identifying portable fire extinguishers by color code/label.
› Describes fire extinguishers for class A,B,C,D and electric fire.
› Demonstrates correct procedures for smoothening a simulated fire using a fire blanket.
› Explains emergency and safety evacuation procedures.
